I think I've only seen the 1st Friday the 13th. They brought it back one Halloween at our local "arthouse" theater. I knew little about the series, so I was really shocked that the killer wasn't Jason in that one.

And to top it all off he doesn't even get his iconic hockey mask until the 3rd movie.

That’s awesome! Last I heard I remember one of them got in trouble for butt flossing with what I think was a Russian flag, someone threw it to him from the crowd and he just improvised. What’s your favorite song? I Hope You Die takes the cake for me.

I remember at the end of the movie, Jason jumps out of the lake and attacks the final girl in her rowboat. The crowd went nuts! But then the movie had one more scene that shows the girl is fine and she only dreamed Jason. Everybody in the theater just groaned. Why the fuck was that scene there? Why not end on that awesome Jason jumpscare?

Yeah that was just meant to fuck with the audience, Jason was never meant to be the killer or even likely exist but the popularity was so big that it made a franchise. I love it personally, it’s campy, pun not intended, but they’re fun cozy films to sit around with snacks and a few beers and watch. Part 6 aka Jason Lives is something else entirely though, it did meta humor prior to Scream and far better, and had a lot of great characters and moments.

The entire series triggered Shitskel and Fuckbert too, so that made me happy.

I could be wrong, but from what I remember in regards to the CP charges, Reubens was a collector of vintage porn. He had thousands of magazines, and out of those thousands of magazines, they found several photos of boys who were of a questionable age servicing men. That's why he didn't serve time as a hardcore pizza collector would.
