Well, Ed seems to be butchered about as bad as I expected - Netflix did not disappoint. Some more competent director may have found a way to tone her down just enough to not be cringey as fuck, while still keeping the spirit of the character alive, but this is a netflix original anime adaption, so one should always pretty much expect the worst shit possible.
