I've only heard of Asterix because one of the games was included in a list of GBA games that tested the limits of the system:

And some people were impressed when Square-Enix cramped FMV sequences into their Kingdom Hearts GBA spinoffs

Personally, I like Alessandro Barbucci's art.

I think a lot of American's first exposure to * is because it's always at the top of rom sets.

The hipsters love V for Vendetta, Judge Dredd, and Marvelman.
Yeah but I wouldn't really consider British comics 'Euro' comics. Not in the way that Moebius, Hergé and others are. Especially not Marvelman seeing as he's a donut steel of Captain Marvel.

Me neither. GB isn't Europe. There's a reason even they speak of "the continent" and sometimes straight up about "Europe", excluding themselves.

Not only that, but while V For Vendetta and Marvelman/Miracleman might have started in the British Warrior magazine, it was American publishers who bought them and finished them.

"Now I can see big lizard and big monkey punch each other on big screen while eating big food!" To think this is what he tard raged about MAGAs depriving him of for the better part of a year.
