The only consistently good slasher franchise is Leprechaun (the abortion of a reboot attempt doesn't count). I especially recommend the In da Hood duology.
Or the space one. Way better than the space sequels for Friday or Hellraiser.

Now there's some good garbage movie series. Althought I hesitate to call it a slasher. If it counts, Wishmaster is also pretty rad.

The one Wishmaster entry I've watched was a bit weird. Dude relied heavily on his victims making conveniently-phrased exclamations. Like some security guard shouting "I wish I wasn't seeing this" so the genie monster can then magic away his eyes.

It's about a genie (who looks like cross between a devil and Piccolo from Dragon Ball Evolution) who murders people because he's evil and twists the wishes of its victims.

He basically relies on people dropping a "I wish ..." to troll/kill people, and the script writer ain't clever enough to have this come naturally.
The closest to something "natural" I can recall from the movie was some guy wishing that some rich asshole would die, but even here they screwed it up by having him bei ultra-specific ("I wish he would get cancer and die", which the Genie turned into "Super cancer that kills you in seconds").

While he is evil, as djinn are, he grants wishes because it gives him more power so he can eventually enslave the world.

That the writing is stupid is what makes it good. They don't even pretend to make something clever.

Wishmaster is bad. It's one of those 90s horror movies that has the acting of cinematography of a porno but there is no on screen fucking.
