RTX was supposed to be the last revolution. In the end it's just neat.
The time for leaps is over. We may not be at photorealism but it wouldn't be mind-blowing anymore if we got there.

Is there a full song of the video, ban? Sounds like some nice 2000s era Schranz.
Unfortunately, it's probably one of those remixes we did back in the day, when clubbing was at its peak in the mid-90s. So it means it's probably lost forever in time by now. The history of techno in Greece is a very sad one and very hard to even prove these days.

For shame. It's just an interlude and nice Hard Techno bass away from some nice stuff.

If shit like Cheese Pizza Two Thousand and Seven Hundred Seven Year Olds is what you can play with RTX then its not worth it.

Photorealism shouldnt be the goal of any media. I cant jack to realism.

It's just naff in practice. You know how lighting and shadows are pretty good in games now? You can pay hundreds of dollars to get slightly better lighting and shadows.

All for the game to run even worse as well, of course.

So between that and buying food for months, I guess I can live with normal lighting for now.

The ray tracing and DLSS thing is interesting. It's like Nvidia is banking on the future of the market being improved lighting with slightly worse image quality to offset the performance loss. It's just weird to me that one of their big innovations is something that makes the image look worse, albeit marginally. I suppose we're at a reasonable limit as far as getting games running at a high FPS now, so they have to try and "innovate" somewhere else other than raw frame-pushing power. Cyberpunk is carried hard by DLSS, even without ray tracing it runs like shit without it.

Lots of good it did for this POS. One will be super immersed in the realistic shadows while clipping through the floor or seeing police spawn a step behind you.

They feel like they have to constantly innovate in order to justify new GPUs / games / consoles, while at the same time having to cut corners all the time.
Nothing is ever allowed to become stable, or crisp, or not shit.
