I never really liked that name "Atop the Fourth Wall". The fourth wall is more a concept borne of shows like soap operas and sitcoms than comic books, due to how those shows were filmed with a literal fourth wall missing where the film crew/director/audience was. It wasn't until there was Byrne's She-Hulk run that the phrase "breaking the fourth wall" really entered comic book vernacular.

Regardless, in the origin of the phrase, the 'fourth wall' is non-existent. How can you be atop something that's very definition doesn't exist?

It comes with taking your Sonichu storyline too seriously. His movie had this great moment where he went autistic on his colleagues for not being as hardcore as he is, citing those instances where his villains beat him to a bloody pulp.
