Yes and no. Quality doesn't matter a single bit as long as people are watching and clicking. But who exactly you reach does matter a whole lot.
The biggest customer base are mothers. They spend, by far, the most money. Old people are a close second, which is why you want to run your ads on medical shit in the breaks between shows that old fucks watch. Now the YT viewerbase usually isn't either. How much actual turnover did advertizers generate via Allison's viewers you recon? I'd say zero. Some may have clicked the ads just to help her out, which is what those cuckolds love to do, but the actual effect of the ad is nill.

My fucking flyers cost a good bit of money every week but I at least know where they are being sent and that those that are being sent them have a household. The best thing you could possibly do is cutting costs and there isn't much you can cut costs in a business. Rent is fixed, electricity usually goes up, sales aren't something you can force or raise reliably. That leaves advertizing and employees. There are only so many employees you can let go until you don't get any work done anymore.

In the last months of Blip I'd get a single ad for every video. It was an ad for a Katie Perry tour in England. Since it was forced play they paid for, I assume, the whole of Europe watching with zero turnover. Cutting advertizing on YT is the most logical thing to do. It's a waste of money in almost every case.
