You're high if you think any of this shit is going to go away just because of low ratings. Hollywood accounting basically means they can write off anything, and there's no way celebrities let their awards shit die. Sports could be affected because they have to actually pay salaries, but I'm sure the leagues will find some way to squeeze money out of something. If not, the billionaire owners will probably pool their money and bail them out until they can trick the public into believing they aren't woke anymore.

These awards are essentially a way for the industry to celebrate itself. It might become completely irrelevant to the consoomers, but they won't care. That just makes it more exclusive.

Awards are convenient way for entertainment industries not only for advertising the products, but also for damage control. Ever heard the bullshit argument: "Game of Thrones season 8 can't be all that bad, look at how many Emmys it won!"?

Just got the third season of The Wire consoomed. It was a bit slow at the beginning of the season, but towards the end, the pacing really picked up. Dayum, never thought I would get so emotionally invested in a story of blacks pushing dope. Those Avon & Stringer scenes were great, especially the last one. Wasn't that much into this Hamsterdam storyline, it seemed rather unrealistic that the event of this scale in a major city would fly under the radar of authorities and the press for so long.

Wait for season 5, that's got a real bullshit storyline.

Got around to watching the latest season of Sherlock and I don't get why Moriarty killed himself. He's a turbofag in love with Sherlock, so he commits suicide for the lulz, but not before recording like a million fucking DVDs and voice-overs so he can keep fucking with him for years afterward.

What a dumb fucking show. It's the Big Bang Theory of detective shows. Mary is fucking old and ugly too. She also recorded a DVD monologue before dying, "just in case."

Please stop.

It's almost like they didn't intend for the show to last so long after he became an hero.
Now they just need to introduce Moriarty's apprentice, and their ripoff of the Saw franchise is complete.

Speaking of Bad Robot, I decided to look into Lovecraft Country. The book is insecure magical black power fantasy, but the show steps it up by recoloring or changing any likable white characters and in the finale one of the magic negroes makes it so that white people can never use magic.

Man, it’s almost like the supreme Wakandan race is really fucking insecure about who they are and need all sorts of self assurance by means of bad fiction. So much for that Uhuru movement am I right?
