Anyone reading Rob Halford's autobiography? I'm shy of 80 pages in, and it's great if you ignore all the TMI.

I find autobiographies to be deathly boring. Especially those of musicians.

Very few people are important enough to deserve an autobiography. I think Caesar was probably the last one.

Autobiographies suck because famous people can't write.

But famous people never actually write them. They hire ghosts to do it for them

Generic authors with the blandest prose imaginable. Stick to biographies, and even then seek out good authors like Robert Caro (The Power Broker, Years of Lyndon Johnson), or Adrian Goldsworthy if you like Roman shit (he's a little dry, but he doesn't do that faggy "BCE" bullshit and is pretty based).

Almost nobody lives a life exciting enough to not make it sound like grandpa rambling about random recollections of his youth after the dementia has already kicked in.

And that's pretty much why twitter is such a mistake.

You want a good biography, James Ellroy's My Dark Places is an excellent read
