Good thing the remake doesn't even cover the first disc then :3
I hate it when these fuckers "remake" shit but change the genre entirely and sell it as a remake.

It's especially odd in this case as they didn't stand to gain anything from it. All the changes could ever do was piss people off.

FF fans are stupid. There are no consequences for bad decisions.

Now I’m glad they haven’t fucked with Chrono Trigger/Cross. Hell they couldn’t even handle a steam port.

Just you wait.

I've never played it but isn't Cross itself "messing with Chrono Nigger?"

They know I’ll come for them if they dare.

Cross is an odd game. It’s a great PS1 RPG, but what bugs people is that it doesn’t seem related to Trigger at first. Once you get further in the story starts to make sense. Finally being able to rescue Schala was one of the best moments in video game history for me. I played CT as a kid and had to wait years to finally resolve her story.

Cross is a great game but a poor sequel. I take it on those terms. I can enjoy Cross while accepting its flaws.

Ironically, the Trials of Mana remake is very well done. It may be the single instance of Squeenix not fucking up.
