It appears I was wrong, the demonetization works on new uploads as well.
at least they don't try to call it silencing of dissenting political opinions like some other people tried before.
It's pretty obvious what's happening here, I don't get why Lupa's so confused about the situation. Like, using all that copyright material has finally come to bite her in the ass and the reason why all her videos haven't been demonetized is because not every company is super aggressive about protecting their stuff. It's basically just luck.
Yeah, "fair use" and all, but fair use doesn't cover the part where these losers try to make money off other people's work. She can bitch about this situation all she wants, but her and her ilk have known something like this was coming for a long time now, and very few of them have bothered to prepare themselves for the inevitable. Hell, CA made a movie precisely about this, and while SOPA died, it's not like Youtube wasn't trying to solve this legal quandary back then too.
Youtube's solution to this fair use dilemma is rather ingenious. Yes, these nobodies can make their stupid fair use protected reviews, but no, they can't make money off them, as dictated by copyright law. Simple as that.
