That's why I picked them as an example. Unless you live in Essen, Berlin or the hipster parts of Hamburg you won't even know what a Dunkin' Donuts is as a German.

Hell, donuts in general are obscure and difficult to find here and I haven't had a good one all my life. We have Berliner* instead.



*A couple of corrections about that Kikepedia article. Nobody has ever called them Berliner Pfannkuchen here. It's just Berliner. Unless you are in Berlin where they are only called Pfannkuchen. Which is fucking retarded because that literally means "pancake". In all of Germany when you order a pancake you get exactly what you think it is, while in Berlin you'll get a Berliner and if you want an actual pancake you'll have to order a "Eierkuchen", meaning egg cake.
Did I mention Berlin if fucking retarded?
