Greyhound?
What hero is Tom Hanks pretending to be now?

He's become like Gary Cooper--refuses to take roles that don't make him look good. (Cruise used to be the same way for years, but lightened up after Vanilla Sky).
...and still: Spoony did nothing.

What makes a great horror movie? Wokeness!

Invisible Man was ass. Pure porn for girls about a billionaire tech wizard who uses his invisible suit to harass his ex because she's so special and unique and not like other girls. No real action, no nudity or sexiness at all, then she steals a suit and brutally murders her (innocent) ex husband at the end just because and it's played as this "You go girl" moment. Watch Hollow Man instead.

No Dark Universe mentioned at all.
But Gay Bowelsman said it was the best movie ever. He also said it wasn't SJW propaganda.
Rolling stone called it "socially conscious horror."

Paul Feig and Elizabeth Banks are making monster movies now, while the chick who directed Aeon Flux is making a gay Dracula movie. More like Woke Universe, amirite?

No Dracula can be more Left-approved than Hellsing, for Dracula's backstory in that manga involved getting culturally enriched by Muslims.

You better are not talking about the animu Hellsing. Having somebody running around in a SA uniform not be the ultimate evil (I know, arguable but it's not like they would go beyond looks) is a massive detriment.
Also a massive detriment for me because the SA sucked dick and their uniforms were embarrassing.

So I watched the Watermelon Man for the first time. It was on Amazon Prime (had a friend's account to use) and my Dad's like, you never watched that movie? And it was alright. I would watch it again in the future.

Some spoilers coming up!

If you know about Black like me this is pretty much inspired by that, but it's just more comedic. If not, to sum it all up, it's basically about some black guy in whiteface  with a white family and each day he takes advantage of the fact that he chases after the bus for exercise and he's a great salesmen. I'll admit that I found it funny at the beginning where everyone but whiteface guy (who was having the time of his life) had shame in their faces. But I was afraid that the rest of the movie was going to be a pain to sit through because the beginning wasn't very good because of how corny some of the jokes were. Anywho, one day his racism gets the best of him and he gasp, turns black!

SpoilerShow
It is never explained how and why he became black. Well okay it is sort of implyed why he turned black as it was some curse by God? It's never explained and that's what people really complained about, but that's what makes it great. It's a Mystery in how ridiculous the whole thing is.
So his white wife reacts in a understandable way. Screaming. So funny stuff starts to happen and people ask is that a tan and he tries many things to make himself white.

It has a sense of humor. It may be hit or miss, but I had a great time with it. It's not as edgy as my tastes usually salivate to, but it's still savory. It makes fun of everybody. Jews, Asians, Mexicans, and of course especially Whites and especially Blacks. But it's still taken quite seriously with its message of people taking their race and others for granted or something like that.

I don't want to talk about the rest because one I'm tired as shit because I typed an essay about something I liked again and it's late and two it has to be watched. It gets 70's freaky at times.
SpoilerShow
So while it's similar to that movie that I don't like much Hittin Niggers (Hidden Figures) in that both are based or inspired by something, at the very least Watermelon man was it's own fucking thing and as far as I know it didn't try to say it's based on a true story but try to add a bunch of shit that never happened (which is true for 99% of based on stuff but that movie's not getting a pass)

Plus so much could've been cut from Hidden Figures. It was an hour and 24 minutes or so and it contained loads of filler. Water was a nice and sweet 98 minutes.

Plus Hidden was just forgettable. All they pushed was black people working at Nasa that you may not have heard of.

The only thing I honestly found worth remembering was the absurdity of one of the main ladies going back and forth from the whites only bathroom in the building she worked at to the colored bathroom that was in a completely different building (which to clarify, never happened to the actual person irl)
It was just too much. I wouldn't mind that, if it was it's own movie, not one that's a fucking biography. Yes I'm sure that it happened to one of those ladies, but it has to be the main one. It was just filler.
I got more out of Water and it was shorter. Hell, I could get more out of a Chappelle or Key and Peele sketch.

Lol, Bond has a daughter and black 007 is the real main character! It's like a backdoor pilot from the 90s.

Starship Troopers was on Burger Nigflix so I watched it. God I love Michael Ironside in this film. Dina Meyer in her prime too. Clancy Brown's character taking a pay cut just so he could go kill shit.

I get that this movie glorifies fascistic meritocracy in order to try and paint it as unpalatable, but their government makes so much sense! Everyone is free to be, but if you want more rights or stuff you earn them for yourself. God forbid everyone be taken care of and exceptional people also succeed.

God, the TV ads for that movie burned Blur's Song 2 into my young brain.

The only thing holding it back is a lack of Denise Richards nudity.
