Producer's Cut no contest. Too long have I watched the theatrical cut on tv, so when I got the chance to see the alt version, it was miles better.

It flows better, that's for damn sure. And they went all in on the supernatural angle. The musical score was also better, imo.Moe Bitches wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 7:03 amProducer's Cut no contest. Producer's. It's closer to what the writer wanted H6 to be.Rapeculture wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 7:00 amWhich do you prefer, theatrical or Producer's Cut?

Yeah, I agree. Paul Rudd stopping Michael with runes was the only thing I thought didn't play well, but made sense within the context of the story anyway.

It's still a mess, but at least it's an interesting mess and we get more Loomis. After he died, I stopped giving a shit tbhRapeculture wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 8:01 amYeah, I agree. Yeah, Donald Pleasence made the sequels watchable. I guess you never bothered with any of the other movies after he died?Rushy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 8:03 amIt's still a mess, but at least it's an interesting mess and we get more Loomis. Nah, I marathoned the lot because I still like a good slasher, but none of the ones after him could live up to the first four.Rapeculture wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 8:08 amYeah, Donald Pleasence made the sequels watchable. Thank you Rushy, and hmm, that’s a toughie. H6 is one of those films that bugs me because I see the potential in it. Producer’s cut has far better pacing/editing and the annoying music stings removed, plus more use of Loomis so I’d have to go with that. Only prop I can really give the theatrical cut is the added gore in some scenes. Also I love creepy/hilarious Paul Rudd, that scene where he’s trying to break open the door and Michael starts coming at him, that exasperated laugh and look he gives to me is more natural than most horror movie reactions.Rapeculture wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 7:00 amWhich do you prefer, theatrical or Producer's Cut?
If I can ever get the equipment and files necessary I want to try editing the two films into one ultimate cut, there’s more than a few projects I wanna try that with.
I’m getting too old for this shitposting.

What editing program do you use?Old Black Man wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2019 7:11 pmThank you Rushy, and hmm, that’s a toughie. H6 is one of those films that bugs me because I see the potential in it. But kind of a pointless endeavour if you asked me. Even combined, Halloween 6 is unfinished. It's never gonna be what Farrands(I think that was the writer's name) intended it to be. Dude had the whole Halloween mythology plotted out, and wanted Christopher Lee to play Dr Wynn. I'm just always going to be disappointed watching this with that in mind.
