His whole Scientology origin story is more entertaining in a cringy sort of way. Also the movie adaptation of his work is way better than that Stephen Spielberg abortion.

Depends on your point of view, I suppose. RPO is technically proficient and well made, but bland and un-entertaining from start to finish, whereas Battlefield Earth is just...a mess. But entertaining in the way that trainwrecks or 9/11 was entertaining

With the amount of novels Hubbard hammered out he's bound to written something better than RPO. I'd take any crappy but non-offensive SciFi penny novel over it.
