Re: Movie Thread
Dropping Blofeld from a helicopter into the cooling tower of a power plant is the only based way to end his character arc.

They would definitely pretend like having a stronk women in those women is some brand new thing, just so they can congratulate themselves over how progressive they are.Guest wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 7:05 pmYou know they fucking will. It's not like they're signalling to people who watched the original movies in the first place.Cuckara wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 5:49 pmIt's pretty funny that they're going the "REEEEEE MISOGYNISTS" route with a franchise that has always had strong female leads. If this is how Hollywood is going to defend every dumpster fire that stars a woman, then I guess we can look forward to:
>"manbabies hate new Alien film because it has strong women"
>"The Silence of the Lambs remake is being attacked by misogynistic fans"
George Lucas did a similar thing when he pretended Blaxploitation never existed, just so he could overhype his already forgotten PoCs on a Plane movie.
Marvel Studios definitely did the same thing when they claimed Black Panther was the first woke capeshit movie evar.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Sarah Connor was also actually strong and not simply a misandrist sociopath of the type Hollywood likes to confuse for strong these days.

Trying to give Bond a multi-movie storyline just doesn't work. It leads to shit where he's related to fucking Blofeld, as well as him being too old for this shit three movies into his reboot. That was two movies ago, by the way, why he is suddenly NOT too old when he's aged another decade now.

That was just Sam Mendes trying to cram the anniversary into the plot. I read somewhere the producers actually argued against it, since they only just rebooted Bond.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 3:21 pm

Re: Movie Thread
Dumb move, but let's face it, the Bond timeline is irrevocably fucked now that a modern Bond being an agent during the Cold War would make him too old.Rushy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 3:29 pmThat was just Sam Mendes trying to cram the anniversary into the plot.
