I thought the $44M award was made up of punitive damages, not just compensatory ones? Either way there are enough judges and lawyers in the country to continually tie this shit up until everyone involved with the bakery dies of old age.

Firstly, the judge didn't award that sum the jury did and secondly the jury only awarded them $11 million in compensatory damages, the $33 million was punitive damages awarded to them because the bakery had to pay however much money just to fight this shit

Either way there are enough judges and lawyers in the country to continually tie this shit up until everyone involved with the bakery dies of old age.
