Same happened with SNK. You can go buy your neo-geo or genesis if you want, but now you have alternatives.

This is just about the dumbest statement in this forum about gaming I've ever read.
SNK going broke was just fucking terrible and there's absolutely no positive to it. All the talent went elsewhere and by the time SNK Playmore was a thing it was nothing but an empty husk. We've missed out on decades of fantastic (mostly fitan) games.
The argument that legal but shitty emulation has been made easier is such a non-factor that I don't know words to address how stupid that is. Who the fuck cares about legal emulation of extremely old systems?

I sold a copy of earthworm jim 2 for $70 that was gifted to me along with a few other games. The sega bubble has begun with the announcement of the sega mini.

The Genesis version? If so, that one was always inferior to the SNES version.

Yeah the genesis one, forgot there was a master system one. A lot of the genesis games have sky rocketed in price and it happened with the SNES and NES mini. What happens is hype suddenly overloads and everyone wants to play the games early, then once people get the system the prices plunge back down.

For some reason growing up I had a master system and one of the few burgers that did, we mostly rented games growing up and you couldn't find master system rentals so I ended up playing the same 3 games for it, golden axe, miracle warriors (hidden gem btw) and global defense.
