even in human revolution, you saw "augs" being slurred, downtrodden and shit on. For pretty much no reason. They went out of their way, in fact, to come up with meme reasons why augmented people would be discriminated against.
IIRC augs are treated like shit in HR because augmentation technology was totally flawed and augs became basically cripples with drug dependency sooner or later. It at least made
some sense when I played. It's still inferior to the original DeusEX when it comes to world buildings though.
The only wokeness I felt from HR is, that game rewards for non-lethal anything for practically no reason. It really didn't makes stabbing someone in the neck/heart making a huge noise and also gave less XP. Killing is bad muuoookay.
