A fucking Child's Play reboot. The original series just had a sequel barely a year ago with the original writer and cast, yet they still reboot the shit.

Because a lot of the fandom are under the belief that Mancini drove the series into the ground. He was the director of the movie that took Chucky to direct to video. And after getting some goodwill back with Curse Of Chucky, he made Cult, which is all over the place, and more of a pilot for his new TV show than a coherent movie in its own right.

People just want a foulmouthed killer doll going after kids, and MGM obliged. Plus, now that they know Hamill is involved, even more people will be inclined to ditch Mancini's series in favor of the new, easier to follow continuity.

I didn't even know there were dedicated Child's Play fandom communities where they talked about this shit.

I'm keeping an open mind for the new series, but if Chucky's clone army spell doesn't get some kind of limitation, then there is no ending. And I think that's what Mancini is actually aiming for, he wants countless Chucky dolls all over the world so he could do episodes in various scenarios(i.e. Chucky On The Orient Express, Chucky In Space, Chucky's Journey To The Centre Of The World, Chucky in China et cetera)

I liked The Shining novel. It's obviously not as good as Kubrick's film and I wouldn't even really call it horror(more like a supernatural drama), but it's a good read still.

One thing I am curious about is the Dark Tower series, because I read the synopsis of that and it sounds abso-fucking-lutely insane, like the ramblings of a madman.
"we have this quest to get to the tower, and it's in the future, but it's also a western, and reality is collapsing, and there's this villain who appears in my other books, also I'm in this book, and it's all about metaphysics and..."

The movie condensed it down into the shitty PG-13 fanfiction-tier shit it really is. People bitched about it, but the book and King really are that stupid.

Chucky is gay as hell. They did the same shit they did with Freddy and Jason and turned him into a wise-cracking cartoon character. Mark Hamill literally makes this shit gayer, but hopefully the whitest Mexican who ever lived gets her tits out.
