This is where free market kinda works: You stop producing the kahntent people tune in for, they'll go and get their fix somewhere else. Some become slaves to muh friendship simulator, but thankfully that appears to not be the majority.
This is what a lot of these "youtube is muh jahb but I want to make only the videos I want!" guys don't understand.
If you're making videos for fun, you can absolutely make whatever videos you want and do whatever you wish. But if you expect some kind of financial compensation, you have a responsibility to provide what people want to pay for.
I got into a debate just recently with German Spy (a friend of the sbfp guys) about this. He was mad because youtube only wanted to promote certain kinds of videos from him and fans only wanted to watch certain kinds of videos. Well, he wasn't so much mad at fans as youtube for selective promotion and hiding the shit he made that didn't fit in with what had done well for him in the past. But YT is just going with a safe bet and the viewers want what they want.
