someone's got a hard-on for hating Fury Road years after Fury Road stopped being remotely relevantGuest wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 8:15 pmExactly. Watching even an episode of this Fury Road wannabe shit is not something to brag about.

Even Martin hates the show now. Of course he has no one to blame but himself seeing as:
A) He sold the rights to adapt the books before he'd even fucking finished them
and
B) He sold the rights to two guys who have absolutely zero experience running a show. One of them's only other writing credit was an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The other wrote such excellent films as Troy and X-Men Origins: Wolverine

If I was a fat lazy sack of shit and some kikes gave me a gorillian dolllars to make my cruddy unfinished books into a TV show I'd take the offer too. Can't blame the lazy fat commie bastard for that.

It's not like he needed the money. He has an entire house just to put his plastic crap in.
Besides which, he's one of those authors who actually cares what piece of shit Hollywood makes out of his work. They were tearing down his door to make his books into films after Lord of the Rings was huge and he turned them all down because the studios wanted to basically split up the plots and make separate movies out of each of them.

I can't wait for this season to end and the whole phenomena to never be spoken of again. Does anyone even remember Twilight or The Hunger Games? 50 Shades of Grey was dead after the second movie and Divergent never finished it's series.

Even the books aren't that great to begin with. They're dull and slow and finding a likable character is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It's the worst of Lord of the Rings and Dune mashed together, without any kind of coherent overall arc.

The studios are smarter than he is, then. Streamline the shit out of this series and you *might* get something worthwhile.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Tue Apr 16, 2019 10:16 pmthe studios wanted to basically split up the plots and make separate movies out of each of them.
