I know people complained that Gamestop's repair thingy scratched up the CDs though they made them work. Might just have to keep 'em bro.
Even if I can get a few to come back from the dead it will offset the cost from the others not working, so it's worth a shot at this point.

Ever wonder who that cunt is that sold you that one PS game that's scratched to shit but described it as "good condition"? Look no further. Autism cat confirmed for shitty ebayer.

Sounds like it. Maybe mad bum should keep his fucking animals from shredding his games if he plans to ever sell them. I know I'd be pissed off as hell if I bought a ps1 game for current year prices and it arrived scratched and unplayable.

I thought the complaints about ebay's return policy being unfair to sellers were legitimate but tbh if this is the quality of product he's selling, no wonder people complain and return the games. I always wonder how people manage to fuck up game discs so badly. My stuff is all pretty much in whatever condition it arrived in when I bought it. If I bought it new, it looks new and if I bought it used, it looks however it did from the previous owner.

(Also this is why you own dogs. I've never had a dog destroy any electronics. One of the few things they won't destroy.)

 you cheeky cunt. I actually buy these games used for under a dollar and test them before they go out, it's not my fault people's shit doesn't read it.

You're telling me, I'd say 20% of the disc games I end up getting don't work and 50% are scratched to hell but actually work.

Oh come on. I love you, you daft twat, but let's not pretend that you're not exactly that kinda fucker to send some dipshit a game you know perfectly well is unlikely to work. I know your theme song is All Star so don't try to fool me, spurdo.

You're half right yeah, I can't play the full game to check if the cd will or won't freeze at some parts of the game, but these people will sure let me know if it happens, and depending on the game price either having a return done or just refunding it and counting my losses.

I actually had a real nice lady the other week having to return croc 2, left a hand written note and everything.

Scratches, or acceleration lines?
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Okay, got myself some new wire and flat connectors. The wire is single core this time and instead of soldering I crimped them. I've just re-wired the ground wire of the face buttons. So far, the hitbox has been working for over twenty minutes. I don't trust the whole deal and may go on to replace the other wiring but so far so good.

Edit: Still works hours later. So, here's my theory:
The wires couldn't bear the load. They were fine for a single button but not for eight buttons. It was a five strand wire, likely some tin/brass whatever mixture. My new wire is a single strand copper wire.
I think it's likely that over time some transistor got overloaded. That would explain why it'd stop working eventually and the static electricity dissipating over time would explain the behaviour.

The four direction buttons as well as the Start and Select button are still held together with old daisy chains. That seems to be fine. I guess I'll see if problems arise eventually. At least I've got a better idea of what went wrong.
I could've saved myself quite some fucking around if I could find my fucking Multimeter but there you go.

I fucking hate the Universe. This happens fucking all the time...

So I have 10 year reunion for school on Saturday, Yesterday I got my Oxy for three weeks from cancer.nurse, We small-talked a bit and she asked how I was doing. I said I never really get "normal" sick (as in running nose and sore throat).

Guess what fucking happened when I woke up today?
I'm in your bedroom, folding your clothes.
