Diabetes is essentially a death sentence. It’s just a matter of how long you can hold it at bay. I have a friend whose diabetic dad kept a good diet for a couple of decades, but the disease eventually caught up. Medicine can only do so much; your physiology will continue changing, and some medications can’t keep up.

Edit: Obviously not a medical expert. Someone more experienced in the field can word it better than I can.

Lupa is alone. She has no one. Fucking Spoony has a better social life than her and he's practically a chair.

He's confirmed having diabeetus and a bunch of other shit that will kill him if he doesn't take pills. I don't feel like looking it up, but he alludes to it if you keep watching the episode I linked. Those health problems don't get BETTER with age.

If nothing else, the lymphodema will fuck him up bad.

"No longer diabetic" what a fucking lie. Type 2 doesn't go away via magic and he never changed his shitty diet.

I'm type 1 Diabetic. Just venting that 90% of the shit you see out there as far as "cures" and new medicines and such, all go towards Type 2. Type 2 mother fuckers can fuck themselves.

Type 2 is probably the more lucrative one, for it is less of a "privilege".

I can totally believe that coming from a guy who effectively did jack shit to improve his eating habits aside from maybe a short period where his stomach was too tiny.

Tinfoil hat time from me. It's not that type 2 would be more lucrative. It's that type 1 people are trapped buying insulin for the rest of their lives.

Type 2, with willpower and actual work one could control via diet, exerciser etc. Type 1, you're on insulin no matter what.

The main diff between the two is Type 1, body doesn't produce insulin, type 2, it produces it, but doesn't get used right.

So, why work on a "cure" or such for type one, when you can get that insulin money guaranteed.
