Watching that HITB it did feel like they were spending a little too much time talking about Brie's cuntery. Particularly since the "woke hype" surrounding Black Panther was 10 times worse than CM, and they barely said anything about that in the Black Panther review.

She's at least half of the reason the movie is shit so that seems fair.

The BS from the media around Black Panther was bad but I don't remember anyone actually attached to the film going around saying anything close to as stupid as Brie did.

You can tell by the trailers alone that Brie has no character to work with, which is awful considering that she is a completely shit actress to begin with.

In the review, RLM aren't just critical of Brie Larson. They also dismiss the "I haven't seen it, but I already hate it and here's twenty videos about it" Youtube crowd as buffoons. But you'd never know that from these people who are married to the view that the whole firestorm boils down to muh soggy knee and nothing else.

RLM take the common sense view that the entire controversy was fucking retarded, but they also analyze the roots of it, which was that Brie Larson was deliberately and gratuitously provocative in her remarks about white male critics. All she had to say was that more diversity in criticism is a good thing and she'd like to see more of it and that's it. Pretty much nobody would have reacted badly to that.

But, for whatever reason, she had to be your regular bitter and irrational basic bitch about it and then THAT became the discussion.

In any case, Half in the Bag is usually a mix of comedy, movie review and critiques of movie business trends and the culture around it. And their "Captain Marvel" video is no different.

They HAD to address the controversy. It's not like the movie is all that exciting.
