Deutch holiday tradition foods sound better than the burger ones.
Only options are ham, and maybe turkey.

I dunno why dont we have Christmas goose, or shit like that?

As with every December 24th, we had duck. So simple and yet so delicious.
The next two days we'll have haunch of venison, roe deer specifically.
There has to be a less autistic way to say "Rehkeule" in English, no?
Venison haunch? Damn that sounds delicious. I like duck too but the prices here are fucking retarded. Better start snatching them from the town park.

The most traditional food for the 24th is boring as hell. It's wieners with potato salad. Why? Because you are supposed to go to church in the evening and the gifts are given later that same evening, not in the morning of the next day. That leaves little time to prepare something.

We never had that, nor did my parents. Because that's a shit Christmas dinner.
They both had turkey but they were from large households. Since we're just three people, we have duck instead. It's been that way all my life.

We also don't gift each other anything. I haven't gotten any gifts since I was 16. Neither for Christmas, nor for my birthday. That was my choice.

It seems many people still have that despite not going to church. We sold extreme amounts of wieners around Christmas.
Rinderrouladen are another favourite.

Hey going to church during holidays can be fun, you just have to get hammered first apparently.
