I'll have you know that I do own this apartment and that it won't take me 30 years to pay it off either. I'm not renting. You think I'm crazy? I just don't see the point in buying a house for me alone.

The funny thing is where I'm at it's actually cheaper to buy a home than rent because property is so dirt cheap. I remember being curious about renting a house and they wanted more than double what I pay now.

Renting is almost more expensive in the long run anyway because you're basically just throwing money away.

Always. Remember the rent has to cover the owners mortgage and expenses, plus profit to make it worthwhile.

The only advantage to renting is not having to worry about property maintenance. That's my main angst with owning my house. I still wouldn't want to rent, though.

If you're a man who has testicles picking up tools and fixing something now and then isn't something you should worry about.
