We're surrounded by sea. It usually doesn't get that cold here in absolute temperature, just like it doesn't get that hot either. Snow is good news in winter here. We usually don't have much snow and seldom for long if we do. A nice and dry cold with the water bound up in snow is fine. -10 degrees is so mild that you barely need a jacket.
What we get in winter instead 95% of the time is barely below zero with ice rain, high humidity and relentless North-East winds. Those days feel like it's actually -20°C.

Mostly we have about 330 days of spring and fall with a few days of winter and summer in between.

It's been hot summer weather here for weeks now. We had three thunderstorms but only in the dead of the night.
In the late evening, I went out to skate in what is a soon-to-be industrial area. Nothing has been built there yet, besides brand new, smooth roads. At ten in the evening it was still very warm.
It's been quite a while since I've sweated so much and I ate shit right at the end because I've unlearned how to break without spinning. It was fucking awesome!

Here in the east coast summer came in a hurry, I saw it's going to cool down back into the 70's which will be nice.

I'd really like one day of rain by now.
