As for clothing I'm not talking about cold protection. A Jack Russel Terrier will need a coat in very cold weather, a Spitz won't, a Greyhound will, a Shiba Inu won't. Really depends on the breed. But no dog needs a pink dress as in some fucking fairy costume.
It's a little bit like wanting to get something that isn't quite dog nor cat and then getting a Fennec fox but not wanting it to be active.


I know, it's an extreme example and no dog is quite as hyper charged as a fox but it's the same faulty mindset.

Foxes are fucking awful pets. A lot of wild animals are. When I was a kid, my parents rescued a baby squirrel. Hey guess what? Squirrels are awful pets too! They have claws like razor blades and they get territorial as they grow up. Sounds silly, but I have scars because our pet squirrel decided it hated me.

The dog's size doesn't make a massive difference in energy level. A lot of people think a chihuahua requires no exercise because they're small. Not true. Jack Russels are another good example of a small dog with tons of energy. Chis don't have a huge amount of energy, but they have enough. Sure, exercise will go further with them because they're small and work harder to walk the same distance, but their energy level can still be moderate or high, depending on the dog. If you want a good "lazy" dog, it's best to find one of the larger, lazy breeds and get a dog that's a bit older than typical for what most adopters want. Older large breed dogs tend to be rather mellow and lazy, especially if you get a breed that's known for being lazy. A chihuahua may not be able to walk 10 miles a day, but it can easily go on a few smaller walks every single day. More than enough for most people.

The dress shit for dogs is disgusting. When I say "clothes," I mean a doggo shirt or coat for cold weather. Mainly to stop their nips and other bits from getting cold and chafing. Uncomfortable dogs do a lot of annoying shit, like scratching themselves constantly.

I've seen a ton of shitty chihuahua owners. People bringing them into stores even though they aren't service dogs. Dumb cunts who let their chihuahua run around and escape their yard/house all the time because they won't be assed to watch the dog or use a leash. Because chihuahuas were so overbred, they were distributed to a lot of shitty pet owners, just like pit bulls. Again, part of the reason chihuahuas have so many behavioral problems is because of the combination of poor breeding and poor stewardship. Any dog will misbehave if given no structure, correction or outlet for energy.
