Just don't fall for the big company meme. In the end, it's a cable. A small company ran by afficionados will get some good quality cable, cut it to whatever length you need and attack the plugs. It's not rocket science and should cost about twice what a cheap one goes for.
As far as a bit larger production ones go, Spectraflex are just about the best you can get. Not cheap at all, not even remotely. A good length may run you a cool $80 but it's got a life time warranty and is made in the USA.

I forgot explorer still existed. The only reason to use it is if that's all your computer has when you first purchase it, and you need a way to go online so you can download firefucks, chrome or one of the other ones.
