I have yet to try milk tea. I'm not going to make it myself at home first. I want to go to a place that serves a proper milk tea in the correct measurements and proportions. That or make some Chai and follow the directions very carefully. I don't want the tea equivalent of those gay "coffees" you can get at Starbucks that are 90% milk, artificial flavors and sugar with 10% coffee.
It's not rocket science. Brew some black tea, put some milk in it. What's there to make complicated about that?

I almost always add milk to black tea. I feel it is naked without it.

I find that most really profit from it. It rounds of the profile and turns the harsh bits into fine flavours.
It's a lot like Gin and Tonic Water. Together they balance very nicely.

Yeah if you want bitters and acids in your tea, drink green tea.

And that's the thing, they say if it's bitter that you didn't brew it right.
Cool, but that's not my problem. I find it tastes of sea weed.

The green teas do have an aquatic undertone. I'll stick to my masala chai.

Yeah, just not for me. It's also why I hate the current trend for green Oolong. Niggers, drink green tea but don't ruin my Oolong just because you want the street cred for drinking an Oolong in name only!

The last few green teas I've had tasted awful. Like moldy lawn clippings.

I noticed a lot of commercial green teas add a little lemon grass to the blend to smoothen out the taste.
