My pothead nigger neighbors (do what feels like every day) get up in the morning, smoke, go to work (?), come back and go in their backyard and smoke sum mo.

Now l don't give a shit since it's their business, but hear me out. These fuckers have three (all of them are definitely younger than 10) children and two dogs.

So all you would hear in the morning would be these poor dogs coughing up a storm and making Suburban Sasquatch noises and they start going fuckin crazy and shit. Not attack crazy but playful. They have them for no other reason than to say they have pets.

I've been meaning to get this off my chest for a bit, but these people barely care about their animals. See, both tried to dig a little hole underneath our fence in order to run around in our backyard because of our rat terrier (a house dog btw)

There's been numerous times where both escaped and tried to come next door. Twice they've gotten into the garage and countless times into the backyard. There's been one point where it was an entire week where these fuckers escaped since those dogs never listen to their owners.

I've always gotten bombarded by them. I made sure to tell my parents about ten years ago to ignore and delete any and every mail they get that they don't know the reason for, especially if it's about payment.
E-mail isn't legally binding as a payment reminder anyway. Only snail mail and only after two months it's a proper payment reminder in the legal sense. Everything you get before that time after the bill is a baseless pestering letter you can bin.
Not that you shouldn't pay billth in a timely manner. I'm just saying.

If their dogs are chill, maybe see if the neighbors want to sell to give one or both to you (edit: or you could work up to that from below suggestions). You can't really do anything about irresponsible dog owners unless they are literally abusing their pets in front of you, and sometimes not even then. If the dogs keep escaping into your yard anyway, maybe try feeding them if you're worried they aren't getting fed enough. If the neighbors don't want to sell or give their dogs away, you might ask if you could sell your services as a dog walker so the dogs could get some exercise.

I don't know how involved you want to get, but there's not a whole hell of a lot you can probably do without talking to them personally. The dogs probably don't listen to the owners because the owners have almost no interaction with the dogs and the dogs have too much energy. Dogs aren't meant to fucking LIVE in your house or a yard 24/7 with no outside stimulation. Dogs are a lot like people and a study of primitive people reveals just how similar we are. Dogs have dens like people, but range far from them in search of resources. Walking is our civilized culture way of recreating the bond between hunter and hunting dog.

Now I wouldn't say they abuse them (then again you'll never know what happens behind closed doors) but you get that impression that they might not eat enough. Heck now that you mention it, I now remember that they had a cat that they kept on a leash that the kids had. I can't remember how long they've had it or what happened to it but the cat wasn't around anymore.

Then the two dogs came into the mix.

But we have thought about getting a friend for our current dog but it's not really up to me.

That's a massive pet peeve of mine. No pun intended. I really like Chihuahuas. Thankfully, they aren't being that overbreed anymore these days that their eyes pop out of their skulls. If bred reasonably, they are pretty and funny dogs. But they are still dogs. Stop carrying them around everywhere! They want to run around, fetch sticks or a tennis ball and be dogs, for fuck's sake!
The Chihuahua doesn't know he's tiny. In his mind he's a dog like any other and behaves that way and has the same basic needs of any other dog. They want to run, they want to piss on and sniff threes and they want to bark at dogs five times their size.
I get that they are more convenient in many situations, especially living situations, than a large dog. That doesn't mean that they aren't dogs, though. They are not a purse accessoire!

I really want to have a German Spitz. Not a Pomeranian (that would be a Zwergspitz) but a Kleinspitz.



Now look at the guy go! Yes, that breed is a bit larger than a Chihuahua and much more eager. So a Chihuahua isn't quite going to be a cannonball like a Kleinspitz. But:



Come on. Isn't that just adorable? Don't you think that dog is going to have much more fun doing that than getting put into a fucking dress and sit in a purse? It's not as energetic, fast, strong or smart as a Spitz but that's no reason to treat it like a stuffed toy.

I have a girl like this. She does like to be carried at times (she will stand on two legs and ask to be picked up), but she also enjoys running around and rolling in disgusting shit like a normal dog would. A chihuahua can walk a few miles a day easily. I will say that chihuahuas are definitely heat seekers and they love to be on blankets or warm laps. Kind of like cats in that way. I think it's because they have a short coat. I don't normally approve of dog clothes, but I do recommend chihuahuas have clothes available for when it's cold out. Otherwise, their extremities will get very cold and they will be uncomfortable.

A lot of chihuahuas have behavioral problems because their owners never treat them like dogs. Chihuahuas like to bark at shit and they tend to dislike strangers and children. Children often mistreat dogs and small dogs remember bad experiences with kids. But bad behavior in any dog should always be corrected. "Toy" dog breeds should not be coddled. I remember one time, I was at a friend's house and his mom had a pomeranian. She was eating lasagna or something and she let the dog jump right on her lap and eat off her fucking plate! That is unacceptable! Small dogs need just as much structure as other breeds.

And while Chihuahuas may not be as intelligent as the Spitz breeds, they are an intelligent dog breed compared to most others.

The Spitz, really all of them from the tiny Pomeranian up to the mighty wolf breed, are very intelligent. Classical shepherd's dog breed. The oldest European shepherd's breed, actually. Virtually no hunting instinct but a lot of energy and eager to learn. They actually get bored if you don't give them tasks or have them do the same shit all the time.

So saying that Chihuahua's aren't as smart or energetic isn't an insult. Hell, Golden Retrievers aren't either and yet that's an ideal family dog race.
So if you want a dog that doesn't need quite that much exercise (especially in miles as the size takes care of that by itself) then a Chihuahua is a great choice. If you really want to be lazy, however, get a British Bulldog instead. Those fuckers are happy to go out to take a shit and that's about it.

Fuck me, don't you ever see many daft cunts carry a Chihuahua around all day, though? Let the dog walk!
As for clothing I'm not talking about cold protection. A Jack Russel Terrier will need a coat in very cold weather, a Spitz won't, a Greyhound will, a Shiba Inu won't. Really depends on the breed. But no dog needs a pink dress as in some fucking fairy costume.
It's a little bit like wanting to get something that isn't quite dog nor cat and then getting a Fennec fox but not wanting it to be active.


I know, it's an extreme example and no dog is quite as hyper charged as a fox but it's the same faulty mindset.
