Why not get a prepaid phone? You can get an used cellphone practically for free and buy some pay-as-you-go contract for it for $10 or so. I always have some disposable phone with a prepaid contract I can use for everything that requires a phone number in situations I don't want to give my actual number.

Turns out outlook.com lets you sign up without a phone number. Made a Fagbook account with that email and it didn't lock me, though you can't access Facebook marketplace right away with a new account. You have to wait a while I guess to combat scammers.
