The Chinese President/Party Leader is a tubby fucker and gets memed as Winnie the Pooh.
That's it?
Yeah. Winnie the Pooh is banned in China because of memes.
Is is really, though? I sure can find a shitload of everything Winnie the Pooh related from Chinese "youtube" youku:

https://so.youku.com/search_video/q_winnie+the+pooh
https://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMzQ2MzEz ... f011e5b432

A search from Weibo (Chinese "twitter"):

https://s.weibo.com/weibo/winnie%2520th ... &wvr=6&b=1

I keep hearing a lot about this China's Pooh-ban from western media, but oddly Chinese social media seems to be full of Winne the Pooh. But when I try to find something Xi Jinping (or 习近平) related, I find nothing from Weibo:
抱歉,未找到“习近平”相关结果。

建议:
您可以尝试更换关键词,再次搜索。
您可以关注萌小搜 @微博搜索 获取搜索技巧。
您也可以尝试在全网内搜索: 习近平

Sorry, no results were found for Xi Jinping.

Suggest:
You can try to change the keywords and search again.
You can follow Meng Xiao search @微博搜索 Get search skills.
You can also try searching within the whole network: Xi Jinping

Do chinks actually like apehoop?
Yao Ming was pretty popular in the US when he played for the Houston Rockets, but was like Jackie Chan status back in China for making it to the NBA.

Interesting. I feel foolish for thinking any journalist might be telling the whole truth even once.

That would be funny if it wasn't such a lame meme. I'm disappointed.
So some of the comparison pics were pretty uncanny in their resemblance.

The Chinese have money in the NBA which is why they're trying to silence people who talk about Hong Kong in the first place

It started because they compared these pictures of him

*snip*
One of those has 404ed already. It might be limited to specific images.

It's definitely not a meme. I think Pooh was featured in Kingdom Hearts III and the Chinese trailers for the game blurred him out. Jinping is very asshurt about being compared to Pooh. They think it might be because Pooh is a bear of very little brain

Imagine spending a billion US dollars to be a loser. Could've watched animu and be one for free.

Alright, that's mildly amusing. It does echo the NPC meme a bit in being lame but getting a reaction but the reaction isn't really all that funny either. It's so tame that if it came with way more text I would assume it to be a leftist meme.

More text? Is this too much?

Yeah it's only funny because it REALLY pisses Xi off. Another leader of theirs looked like a toad as well and because these guys are prick dictators they can't handle even mild banter. Funny how the NPC meme has a similar effect on blue check marks.

Also Lupa’s grandmother? Please, we know that hag was alive and well back then. She’s like the dude from Highlander, only a cunt.

I can't find any articles about this, so it's possible this was somebody else. But I remember when a Chinese leader (I think it was Xi) was sworn in, he was humiliated by the sign language interpreters. Apparently in sign language they pick a distinguishing feature of someone and use that for their name. So they fixated on the guys big nose and would sign his name by holding their nose. Every time his name was said, the interpreters would all hold their nose. People noticed and were snickering.

So he was enraged and banned anyone from doing that particular "nose" sign.
