Lookin' good for Bernie so far.

I hope he's the nominee. I don't support him. I think that Trump will trounce him, but I think he'd make the most entertaining show. CNN hates him. Hillary hates him. The Democrat overlords wish he'd drop dead. I want to see all of those people squirm.

They will find some way to screw him. Most obvious would be to give it to gay mayor. But if they can't because it's stopped being neck-and-neck they'll find some other way.
They'd rather lose to Trump than give the party to Bernie. They are finished

Britain already did their own version of Trump vs Bernie with their recent election and it was the worst result for the Labor Party since 1935. If you look at the worst results for the Democrats in the USA since 1935:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U ... on_results

It was Reagan in 1984. 97% of all seats:

Look at that sea of red  . If Bernie wins it will be the same except replace Minnesota with Vermont.

I don't think it'll be quite that decisive. Commiefornia is not going to go red, for example

But you've got to keep in mind that Bernie is an avowed socialist and Trump's economy is doing very well. His economic approval rating is something like 63% which is higher than Bush or Obama's ever were. You've also got to keep in mind that Bernie has one foot in the grave already. People aren't going to vote for a man who nearly drops dead just campaigning. Also all those people that hate him, CNN, The Democratic overlords, Hillary. They won't actively campaign for Trump but they will starve Sanders of support and Sanders being a weak man, unlike Trump, will just take it.

The weird thing is that in general speech we spell our words the English way but for some reason our Labour Party spells it Labor. No fucking idea why, but after looking it up it seems when they were founded they couldn't spell:
In standard Australian English, the word "labour" is spelled with a ⟨u⟩ (much of Australian English is based on British English). However, the political party uses the spelling "Labor", without a ⟨u⟩. There was originally no standardised spelling of the party's name, with "Labor" and "Labour" both in common usage. According to Ross McMullin, who wrote an official history of the Labor Party, the title page of the proceedings of Federal Conference used the spelling "Labor" in 1902, "Labour" in 1905 and 1908, and then "Labor" from 1912 onwards.[14] In 1908, James Catts put forward a motion at Federal Conference that "the name of the party be the Australian Labour Party", which was carried by 22 votes to two. A separate motion recommending state branches to adopt the name was defeated. There was no uniformity of party names until 1918, when Federal Conference resolved that state branches should adopt the name "Australian Labor Party" – now spelled without a ⟨u⟩. Each state branch had previously used a different name, due to their different origins.[15][a]
And because of that fuck up they are stuck with it despite trying to fix their mistake two times.

*insert joke about Australians not being able to speak English*

I don't think the Dems will let him lead the party against Trump. I saw a bunch of Bernfags on twatter celebrating and claiming Trump's days are numbered. I really, really doubt that. The time for Bernie to win was back in 2016 when both he and Trump were unknown elements. We've had 4 years of a Trump presidency and the sky hasn't fallen. No nuclear wars have started, the Earth isn't a pile of toxic waste, America's children haven't been ground up to sell for Spam and slavery hasn't been brought back. People know that another 4 years under Trump will be pretty much the same as it is now. Trump will tweet memes, Dems and the establishment media will be in a state of perma-butthurt and very little in day-to-day life will change for anyone.

I mean, I tried to point this out during the 2016 election, but Trump isn't even particularly right-wing. I honestly don't think he gives a shit if gays marry or trans use the public bathroom. He had to throw the conservative christfags a bone with Pence, but whatever conservative measures he puts in place in service to that will be rolled back the moment a liberal gets into office. Which will happen, because this country trends centrist and Trump's terms will eventually be up. Once Trump is out, I think it very unlikely the Republicans will field a strong candidate for a while. Not unless they've been boning up on how Trump won the first time and plan to repeat that strategy in future. But I doubt that will happen, because career politicians have shown themselves to be incredibly obstinate regarding the 2016 election. They're a bunch of retarded boomers still sitting around goggling at the notion someone outside their little club could get elected.

Yeah his best shot was 2016. He could have had another shot if Trump had failed and the economy was shit. But, despite what the news media tries to claim, Trump hasn't failed and the economy is better than it's been for a long while. People are not going to vote for a socialist under those circumstances. They only vote socialist, or consider voting socialist, when the economy is in the toilet.

I disagree. The Democratic Party is too fractured. We're seeing it here. Broadly you've got a divide between the corporatist elements of the party who love that corporate cock and hate working class people, and the socialist elements of the party, who hate the corporatists and want everything to be free. Then you've got lots of smaller divides (Muslims hate the gays and the Jews, the blacks hate the gays and the Hispanics, the Hispanics hate the gays and the Blacks, etc). The Democratic Party is made up of elements that cannot possibly co-exist and, unless they miraculously win this election, they will likely split into two parties. Not to mention that people who aren't necessarily factionally aligned with the party but whose votes they still have to win, are still sick and tired of their insufferable, unrelenting woke shit and virtue signalling.

Under those circumstances it should be easy for a Republican, any Republican, to get at least one term in 2024.

2024 will entirely depend on if republicans throw another nobody bible thumping boomer as a candidate, Trump is good because he wants America to do great first and then worry about the other shit second, but you have fuckers like Pence who just want tea party politics.

See, I think that even a nobody bible thumping boomer could still win in 2024 if he used the right talking points and if the Democratic Party actually splits into two smaller parties. People talk about how Bernie running third party could really fuck the Democrats up, this would be exactly the same thing. A Republican has the South pretty much locked down and with two leftist parties fighting amongst themselves, he could pick up a lot of swing states as well

So much can happen in four years. I don't have much of any guess about what 2024 will bring. MovieBlob will still be a fat virgin. That's all I know for sure.

It will be interesting to see what Republian contenders emerge. The roster of these things usually includes one "shake things up" guy (Bernie is that guy for the Democrats) and one or more "business as usual" or "throwback" guys (Biden is an undeniable throwback to Obama + bonus senility; Gay mayor's campaign also tries to sell him as new Obama at times).

I'm genuinely not sure who the "businsess as usual" Repbulican contender might be in 2024.

Anyone excited by a Pence Presidency?
