I'd really love the answer to "More harm than good compared to what?" Definitely not socialism, seeing how that stuff tends to FUBAR entire countries way faster than capitalism ever could.

You have to also figure in those who are thinking of crony capitalism (which leads to sweetheart deals, protectionist legislation, oligarchy, monopolies, etc.).
Which honestly, was and is a problem--though by no means one limited to capitalism.

A more telling question would be to ask the respondants if they thought Free Markets did more harm than good.

Yep. Absolutely not limited to capitalism, corruption and opportunism can and will occur in every economic system and I'm not aware of the type of system that prevents, for example, sweetheart deals. Problems you mentioned are all more prevalent features of more left-wing economic systems, so I wouldn't count em directly as problems of capitalism.

As Milton Friedman put it, the only thing you can trust in other people is their greed. Everyone are greedy and once you accept that and learn to exploit that then you'll thrive. Capitalism has its problems, there's always winners and losers, but there really isn't a sensible alternative. Be greedy and exploit another man's greediness. That's how the wealth of nations are built. There's a direct correlation how the more China opened up to capitalism, the less it got a shithole country.

It's another bullshit survey where they ask the question in a certain way to get the result they want.

"You see, people hate capitalism"

It's textbook sociology. That entire field is founded on junk studies like this including the Pay Gap and the Bechtel Test and it's obvious the people who did the survey are radical leftists trying to "prove" capitalism is shit without understanding economics.

"Do you support leaving sick poor elderly people on the streets to die? No? Ok, so you consider capitalism evil. Next respondent!

It's much worse in socialist systems because the avenue of monetary success is entirely closed of. That only leaves sucking up to the party. The GDR was a fantastic example of that.

The people who are considered to be part of the counter-enlightenment lamented that the people of the enlightenment separated state and church. In the same sense the market is divided into two entities. It would make more sense to fuse together what belongs together without actually destroying the soul of both elements.
