Not to mention that gaijin cartoons where like way the fuck better. Or that isekai animu had not yet been associated with shitty self-insert haremshit.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

I was just speaking generally, that the 80s were better than now. The 1990s were undoubtedly the greatest decade in world history. The hottest pornstars, the best action movies (Michael Bay was briefly good!), the early internet, the end of glorious 16-bit gaming and the rise of 3D gaming. The best pop music, at least. Rap was actually listenable! That chick from the LL Cool J show In The House was young and hot and not a crackhead.

Nineties were cool too. Good rap, alt rock, ska, hell I think the catchy pop took more talent than anything we get today. You could mock the PC Police, make risqué jokes on TV without being Chuck Lorre retarded, and video games were top.

Society began its plunge when internet use became mainstream.

Turns out Y2K was mostly a spiritual virus.

I will never forgive normalfags for ruining the Internet. It was so awesome back in the day, before Web 2.0 shit. You know how it is here on DHI? This is how every site was back then. Normalfags didn't care about the Internet. They viewed it as some kind of nerd shit that they didn't want anything to do with. Maybe some of them would use it to read sports scores and check their Hotmail, but that was it. But then shit like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and all of the Google bullshit came along and fucking destroyed it.Poonoo wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 12:45 am2007 specifically.TheBilthCollector wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 8:07 pmYup, 2000s is when everything went to shit.Guest wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 7:07 pmSociety began its plunge when internet use became mainstream.

Re: Collapse of the West (Purge General Thread)
1986-2006 were probably the best years, with the peak being the middle of the Glorious 90s. A lot of that 90s culture bled into the new millennium, and there was a brief period where MySpace and YouTube were the only social media around and hi-speed internet use was growing but wi-fi wasn't available everywhere and didn't need to be until Apple kickfucked the planet and doomed us all.
Everything is so generic now, and I mean everything. Movies, games, books, technology, building design, literally everything is this boring nondescript bullshit. It's like the corporate democracy version of Soviet brutalism.
We all thought the dystopian future would be kewl like in Johnny Mnemonic and we'd all be badass freedom hackers saving humanity and big-tittied girls. Whimper instead of a bang, I suppose.

MySpace was harmless. It was just a bunch of 20-somethings posting pictures of themselves doing kegstands and shitty indie bands trying to promote themselves.
