This video shows how they reached the estimated death toll of over 32,140 in Wuhan though they admit it could be even higher than that but they don't have enough information to make a rational estimate. The "official" numbers said it was 2542. That's a good starting point to find out the nations real numbers even though numbers prior to January 23rd aren't counted since they don't have enough information.

Case Total: 81,518 * 12.64 = 1,030,679 cases
Death Total: 3,305 * 12.64 = 41,787 deaths

I still think it is way higher than that since the phone usage dropped way more than that. And this data assumes that 3/4 of all cases were in Wuhan and that the rest of the country was barely effected which is a load of shit, the Wuhan numbers of 750,000 or so cases and 32,140 deaths though is much closer to accurate.
