The Dems themselves wouldn't. Pence is an establishment guy, Trump chose him as a concession to the establishment guys in his own party. Some Dems have even floated the idea of deposing Trump and replacing him with Pence because they think Pence is controllable.

Now, the Dem supporters on the other hand, they would absolutely hate having Pence as President.

Compared to Trump? Hell yes.
They pretty much agree on broader points of policy, such as who to bomb, and on finer points, like his hatred of homosexuals, the Democrats would be able to ensure that he doesn't do too much damage. It's basically the same way it's always worked with Republicans.

I don't know about that. The things that really bother the dems about Trump, like his stance in immigration for example, are held by Pence just as much. Only that Pence hates fags while Trump doesn't mind them.

I think Pence was against the wall amongst some other stuff, and without increased border security pretty much any immigration policy, as regarding illegal immigration, is toothless.
Like I said, he's controllable. The Dems didn't underestimate that, what they did underestimate was his loyalty. I think they had an expectation that Pence would stab Trump in the back.
