Same here. Only with customers that can't speak German.
In fact, despite being able to speak English fluently it feels incredibly awkward to speak English face to face with a native English speaker. It's really only an internet thing or with people to whom it also is their secondary language where most of the time I speak it much better than they do. It's kinda weird to think that it's the normal main language for people and even weirder that many of them don't speak anything but English.
It's much more of a tool than a language to me, if that makes sense. Might be equally as weird for you to think that I don't speak any English outside of those special cases.
