Lack of intelligence isn't the only factor defining how dangerous a person is, but it does play a part in it. In fact, poverty doesn't cause crime. There are some Chinese rural dirt-poor villages that don't have crime nearly at all. "Crime is caused by poverty" is the BS narrative that (((media))) is reiterating.

The way I see it, street crime = low IQ + high testosterone + inability to delay gratification (often enhanced by drug use). Crime is, for the most part, genetic.

I dunno what crime you would bother to commit in a small village where:
A) There are fewer people to target
B) You're more likely to get caught if you do commit a crime

Not all crime is centered around money. Assault, homicide, rape, vandalism etc. There really are dirt poor places with almost none of these crimes. China is also generally quite safe. In big cities there sure are pickpockets and scammers, but chances you get assaulted, killed or raped are incredibly low. Watch out for your money though, Chinese are specialized ripping off foreigners (and other Chinese too ofc) and greed is a desirable virtue there, that's partly why I like Chinese.

The reason likely being that if you live a five person village and you do any of those things to one of the other people, you will get caught.

A lot of crime is a function of city living. Crime rates started to rise and the first police units started to be formed when people started urbanising
