Anything that is or was socialistic got the Russia seal of approval back in Soviet times and that position never changed. No surprises there.
Russia views the world in "stuff we own and influence; stuff NATO own and influence". Best Korea is in the first category so it's going to be defended in words. I highly doubt they would defend it by actions.
This. Also,
“We will do everything to ensure that (the use of force) doesn’t happen so that the problem is decided only using peaceful and political-diplomatic means,” said Lavrov.

I gotta give him points for that INCREDIBLE optimism. I didn't realize Pollyanna hailed from Russia.

They don't care about best Korea but they do care about not having Americans and their allies even closer to their borders. NK is no threat because it's isolated and their missiles can be intercepted. The world has shown it's become insane anyway (coalition of the willing) so whatever.

Think I mentioned this once already, but China and Russia should realize that a properly nuked and irradiated NK is the perfect buffer against American forces.

If that's too harsh for them then can try to turn the entire upper half of that country into a minefield or something. Or just do it like they did in Berlin and learn to deal with it.

Yeah, not nearly enough Russians living there to pull a Crimea.
