What a useless thought experiment. WWII was the logical consequence from WWI. If there hadn't been a Hitler somebody else would've started a war absolutely guaranteed. It's not like people were thirsting for another war after that first World War shitfest. It was just plain necessary for survival.
This is why I'd argue for not killing baby Hitler. A lot of people make the nature vs nurture argument but what people ignore is that Hitler was actually fairly incompetent. He dismissed nuclear weaponry as 'Jewish science', preferring to rely on the V2 rockets, he refused to share intel with the Japanese about Allied troop movement in Asia, for the most part he refused to work with anti-Stalinist slavs in the war against Russia.
Like you said, because of the conditions forced upon Germany as a result of WWI, WWII was inevitable. If you killed Hitler, someone else would have just taken his place. From our perspective it's much better that we had Hitler to contend with, rather than someone who actually knew what they were doing.

There are a lot of parallels from Weimar to today. For example, Weimar had very strict hate speech laws. Many Nazis were prosecuted for hate speech and Hitler was actually banned from speaking in Bavaria. Did this stop the Nazis? Fuck no. Prosecuting them for hate speech just raised their profile and made them martyrs.

I think Shapiro made the comments at some anti-abortion event. Remember, they say that the death penalty is bad but also that abortions are good.

This is one of those Snopes articles that should be labeled as "true", but they weasel their way out of it by stating that saying that abortion causes a death is a "political opinion". But if you DO count abortions as causing a death (i.e., acknowledging reality) then they are indeed the leading cause of death.
Also, if you kill Baby Hitler and prevent the Holocaust, a whole bunch of people that are alive today would cease to exist. Their ancestors would never have fled Europe and thus wouldn't have met and had kids.

Hitler not only dismissed nuclear weapons. He declared entire concepts and theories haram because a Jew came up with them. He basically did the "We should stop referencing the Cthulhu mythos because Lovecraft was an evil racist" fallacy before it became cool, except with science instead of fiction.
