That's why I think Fresh Prince was the better series. It reversed the whole premise of Family Matters that way. Carleton has his whitebread tastes and quirks, too, but he comes across as a real person. Academic and bookish interest is something to be celebrated as a path to achievement, not mocked.

Nobody gives a shit that you have to have a contrary opinion to everything and make it known. It's a popular piece of media that a lot of people have consumed. They've seen it. The problem is they're coloring their complaints with modern day ideology.
