I love the comments asking why Medusa has no bush totally not understanding Grecko art. Body hair, large penises and labia outside the cleft is considered boorish, animalistic and a sign of old age. I also think nudity in ancient Grecian art was a sort of middle finger to the more conservative dressed Persians. The artist did completely fail to follow the golden mean and Medusa has a Greek styled body but a post renaissance head. He was also mostly depicted as being ugly, ugly to the point of turning men to stone.
