They may have physical numbers and land advantage, but that's not saying much when most of your populace are malnourished retards and your land mass is worthless thanks to said malnourished retards. I also don't understand the obsession with tapping the Chinese Market. Again, yes they have physical numbers, but they look poor as shit. You'd think less money per person would still equal a net loss.

People worry about their government because they have a shitload of money which they use to slowly buy up everything while preventing everyone else from doing the same to them.
Western companies are obsessed about China because the Western markets are mostly saturated, while the Chinese economy is still booming, offering an ever-growing number of customers able - and willing - to waste more and more cash every year.

Mind you, this all will come crashing down once their bubble starts bursting, but until then they are the consumer market.
