Cutting service quality is another form of price hike. It's sometimes more palatable to the customer than straight jacking up your rates. A similar trick is filling the container less full when selling food. You hike your prices without the customer immediately realizing it.

Availability of products could still be a knock-on effect from 3 years of shutdowns.
