There was really no winning in that situation, bernie tells them to fuck off and suddenly everyone calls him a racist, remember the people voting for him are younger SJW types, or he backs off like a bitch while they spout there hateful bullshit and people say he's weak. Do all Presidential candidates get Secret Service protection or is it just the party nominees?
It does raise an interesting point: if it was so easy for those two black women to storm the podium and steal Bernie's platform, just imagine how easy it would have been for someone with a weapon to just shoot him

Normally, party nominees get it, but as needed it can be given during the primary. I believe both Trump in 16 and Obama in 08 got it before winning the nomination. Clinton already had it since as a former first lady she gets protection for life.
