What's going to happen when all these old fuckers die and they can't prop out the corpse of nostalgia any longer?
Just a bunch of trans-latina reboots?
Probably. Since we know these cultural vandals can't actually make anything original

Avery Brooks is barely above 70. They could totally use him if they feel like admitting that a black captain wasn't a new thing.
I wonder if he'll talk about sheer. Fucking. Hubris.
I have a faint hope that maybe de Lancie's presence will jog some cobwebbed part of Patrick Stewart's brain and make him remember that Picard's supposed to hate his guts and wield some authority, but it's a long shot.
Honestly, if Q cracks me up once I'll consider it a victory.

They've already written Picard as a beta who constantly apologizes for shit he shouldn't be apologizing for. It's never getting better.

Basic rundown:
#1. Despite a year's worth of holiday, Stewart still sounds like a dying bat. I guess his voice really is never coming back.
#2. Wil Wheaton thought Picard season 1 was unbelievably satisfying.
#3. "I am here to make your life as annoying as possible!" If they literally let John de Lancie ad-lib his lines, it would be so much better than anything they could write up for him.
#4. Wheaton is such an awful interviewer that de Lancie has to ask him to clarify his question.
#5. I think they turned Wesley into a robot instead of Picard. This fucker's face is constantly frozen in a grin. It's creeping me out.
#6. Stewart isn't even sure if Q's presence is related to the events of this episode. So expect there to be another hundred fanwanky plots competing for attention.
#7. Picard is to be traumatised once again, and Stewart rambles on about how it "hangs around him", so I imagine lots more of sad moping.
#8. John is fondly remembering the Picard Facepalm. Stewart assures John that it will not feature in the new series.
