Re: Star Dreck
Free Willy: Star Trek Edition is the most kino amongst all Trek movies. It's the only "Our fantastic heroes find themselves in some modern day Burger town (to safe budget)" movie that actually works, dammit.

Correct. And any TOS movie is better than all the TNG movies put together.Guest wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 7:01 pmST V > Wrath of Kahn, III, and that stupid-ass whale movie.

Re: Star Dreck
It's a movie where the Enterprise goes to find God. Don't tell me it isn't one of the greatest achievements of the franchise, plebeian.da PAC Nigguh wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 6:54 pmStar Trek V is still terrible. Like the SW prequels, the existence of something worse doesn't suddenly make it watchable.
For all his supposed scenery-chewing, Shatner was always criminally underrated as a straight man in comedy.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Tue Feb 16, 2021 6:02 pmClassic Harry. I love how Kirk isn't even really mad at the guy. He's just some bumbling rascal.
Re: Star Dreck
Didn't they make Mudd into murderous psychopath in Discovery?
Star Trek: 25th Annniversary DOS game has pretty good Harry Mudd mission/episode. That game is probably best Star Dreck game made.

Because the execution of that premise was fucking awful. The only way you can ever make that POS sound good is when you reduce it down to a single sentence.

Who cares? You can make a stronger argument for The Wire taking place in the same universe as TOS than Discovery.

Shatner's best Sci-fi work is TekWar, as everyone knows.
